About the Company
Brisbane is home to some of Australia's most ambitious residential architecture. Homes designed by award-winning architects, built by the city's best builders, finished with interiors that rival anything in Sydney or Melbourne. But step outside, and too often the landscape doesn't match. The garden becomes the one space that wasn't designed with the same care.
We founded DG Gardens to close that gap. To bring the rigour of architectural thinking to the outdoor space. To work alongside the architects and builders — not after them — and to create landscapes that feel like a seamless continuation of the home. Not an afterthought. Not a separate project. An integral part of the architecture.
Today, we work on some of Brisbane's most significant residential and multi-residential projects — collaborating with builders like CPAC Constructions and Toscani, designers like AGLA and Prandium Studios, and developers like 61 Property Group and Smout Property. We are a QBCC-licensed construction company with an in-house team of designers, builders, and a dedicated carpenter. Every project is managed, built, and delivered by our own people.

Our aesthetic sits at the intersection of formal garden tradition and contemporary Australian architecture. The precision and symmetry of Bangay's garden rooms. The materiality and restraint of Lockyer's architecture. Together, they produce spaces that feel both timeless and distinctly of their place.
Weathering steel is both our structural and aesthetic signature. Its warm rust patina deepens against subtropical greenery over years. Curved forms soften geometric precision. Symmetry creates calm. Together, they produce gardens that feel both designed and natural.
We specify materials that improve with time, not despite it. Corten develops its patina. Timber silvers. Stone weathers. Concrete softens. We design for how the garden will look in a decade — not just on completion day.
Hedging, topiary, and specimen trees provide the architectural bones. Planting colour is a secondary layer — one that shifts with the seasons, always held within a considered framework. The garden should look extraordinary even in winter.
We work closely with the architecture to ensure the landscape feels like a continuation of the interior. Matching materials. Aligned sightlines. Designing for the views from inside the home, not just the experience of being in the garden.
The vision established at the design stage is the vision that gets built. We don't value-engineer the character out of a project. If something needs to change, we find a better solution — not a cheaper one.
We work best alongside architects, interior designers, and builders who share our commitment to quality. The best outdoor spaces emerge when every discipline is aligned from day one.
Our team takes genuine pride in the quality of their work. The joint between two stones. The alignment of a hedge. The finish on a corten edge. These details are what separate good from exceptional.
We specify materials and plants that will perform over decades. We design for maintenance realities. We want your garden to be extraordinary in ten years, not just on handover day.
We tell clients what's achievable within their investment range and timeline. We don't oversell and underdeliver. If a project isn't right for us, we'll say so — and recommend someone who can help.
We know Brisbane's subtropical climate, its soils, its best builders, and its most reliable suppliers. This local knowledge informs every decision — from plant selection to material sourcing to construction scheduling.
