From the first sketch to the final planting, we manage every element of your outdoor space. Our in-house team of designers, builders, and craftspeople work as one — ensuring the vision is never lost between drawing board and construction site.
A landscape that feels inevitable — as though it was always meant to be there.
Every project begins with listening. We take time to understand your home, your lifestyle, and the architecture — then translate that into a landscape design that is both beautiful and buildable. Our documentation is thorough enough for any builder to execute, but we prefer to build it ourselves.
Includes
The vision on paper becomes the reality on site — without compromise.
Our construction team is an extension of our design team. Skilled tradespeople who understand the intent behind every detail. We self-perform the majority of our work, which means tighter quality control, clearer communication, and a result that matches the design intent precisely.
Includes
The architectural framework that gives your garden its bones.
Paving, pathways, steps, and structural elements form the foundation of every great outdoor space. We work with natural stone, concrete, porcelain, and composite materials — each selected for its quality, durability, and visual relationship with the home's interior finishes.
Includes
Precision concrete work that becomes the centrepiece of the landscape.
Concrete is one of the most versatile and expressive materials in the landscape — when handled with skill and intention. Our team specialises in architectural concrete finishes that elevate driveways, stairs, benchtops, and seats from functional elements into design statements.
Includes
Bespoke timber work that no catalogue can replicate.
Our in-house carpenter brings a level of craft and precision that simply cannot be matched by off-the-shelf solutions. Every piece is designed for the specific space it inhabits — from outdoor furniture and feature screens to pergola joinery and custom gates.
Includes
Our signature material — designed to patina beautifully over decades.
Corten weathering steel is central to our aesthetic. Its warm rust patina deepens against subtropical greenery over years, creating a living material that improves with time. We fabricate custom planters, screens, edging, and sculptural elements — ensuring precision at every joint.
Includes
Outdoor living spaces that feel like a natural extension of the interior.
Timber and composite structures designed to extend your living space outdoors. We work with hardwood, treated pine, composite, and aluminium — specifying the right material for Brisbane's climate, the architectural aesthetic, and the way you actually use the space.
Includes
Where the garden meets the water — designed as one cohesive space.
Pool surrounds require careful consideration of materials, drainage, planting, and lighting. We work closely with pool builders to ensure the landscape and pool are designed together — not as separate elements bolted together after the fact.
Includes
The invisible infrastructure that makes gardens thrive — and glow after dark.
Great landscape lighting transforms a garden after sunset — revealing textures, creating drama, and extending the use of outdoor spaces into the evening. Smart irrigation ensures your plants thrive year-round with minimal intervention.
Includes
Structure and beauty in equal measure — engineered to last.
Retaining walls are often the most structurally significant element of a garden and one of the most visually prominent. We design and build retaining walls in corten steel, concrete, stone, and timber that are engineered for Brisbane's conditions and beautiful to look at.
Includes
Curated palettes that create structure, texture, and seasonal rhythm.
Our planting palettes are carefully curated for Brisbane's subtropical climate — selecting species that thrive in the heat, respond well to pruning, and create the structural and textural effects the design demands. From 1000-litre feature olive trees to cascading natives, every plant earns its place.

Landscape design fees at DG Gardens typically range from $3,500 to $12,000 depending on the scope and complexity. Construction costs vary from $30,000 for a focused courtyard renovation to $250,000+ for a full property landscape with pool surrounds, hardscaping, and architectural features. We provide detailed quotations after the initial design consultation.
Yes. In Queensland, any landscape construction work valued over $3,300 (including labour and materials) must be carried out by a QBCC licensed contractor. DG Gardens holds QBCC Licence #15463129, covering all categories of landscape construction including structural work, retaining walls, and drainage.
A typical project takes 2–4 weeks for design and 4–12 weeks for construction. Smaller courtyard renovations may be completed in 3–4 weeks total, while larger projects with pool surrounds and architectural features can take 4–6 months from consultation to handover.
We service all of Brisbane and South East Queensland, including the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. We regularly work in New Farm, Bulimba, Ascot, Hamilton, Paddington, Indooroopilly, Highgate Hill, Toowong, and surrounding suburbs.
DG Gardens is a full-service design and construction company. We design, document, and build every project with our own skilled crew — no subcontractors. This integrated approach means the design intent is maintained throughout construction.
Brisbane's subtropical climate allows for year-round landscaping. Autumn and winter are ideal for planting, while construction can proceed in any season. We recommend starting the design process 2–3 months before your preferred construction start date.
